BP2_Shuffler.fm

Through my researching of www.go2web.com, I found a site called Shuffler. This site is actually an internet music site made up of music blogs. This is an appropriate site for helping teachers understand the music aspect of their students’ social lives. The bloggers create the play list based on musical genre.
I am going to be reaching out to teachers, students and school districts to create a better learning environment for all involved. The music is a very big component of my program. The students want to have a connection between them and their teachers, other than school assignments. For teachers to feel as if they are not breaking proper teacher/student etiquette, sharing an understanding of non-threatening subjects, such as music, will gain proper trust and comfort during the learning situation.
The Shuffler site opens with the a page of
different pictures of different musical artists. Each one of these pictures has a genre of music specific to the artist. Once you click on a picture, the site then goes to a music blog of that style of music. The music is from different generations. After a picture is chosen, immediately, music starts to play while a blog post appears. The artist is on top of the page in a playlist box, allowing play and pause functions. Next to the box are left and right arrows, which allow access to other songs (blogs), of the same genre. There are six pages of pictures and genres to choose from.
This bridging the gap of music helps teachers be able to use as a down time activity, as well as other projects. Teachers can also upload their own blogs. My main objective with using http://shuffler.fm is to get teachers to understand the importance of music in education but also to show a way to gain a student’s trust without really trying. This tool will aide in student motivation inside and outside of school.

  1. Somehow this was erased from earlier in my blogs. I think it may have happened when I was editing my blog. My page froze and it wouldn't respond to my publish command, then I had to maneauver away from the page. I wasn't thinking anything of it until today when I saw that it wasn't in my archive.
When I went to retype it in the tag line the tag line remembered drop down remembered.
This has made me so mad!
