I logged in to my twiducate and the home page comes up. My page is a little drab so I decided to dive into this and spruce it up and get ready to introduce this. I have many teacher friends in the area and so I recently asked a couple if they knew about twiducate.com. They didn't so I know this tool is going to help me get my ideas out and heard, especially in Delaware. If you notice on the home page is the Class Bookmarks.....Mr. Selby's Blog. This takes my learners right to my blogspot. Here is the page to Add Bookmarks for the class.
I had to edit my profile to make it more teacher friendly.
Then, I had to make my Avatar something student friendly. I decide to choose something not associated with the "norm" of a teacher, and something about my spirit and energy towards life!
Now That I have created my school and teacher info. I need students......

I went to the Students tab at the top of the page and created students. Now as soon as a student's name is entered a password is created and stored for the teacher. Each student will be given their passwords to access twiducate.com. It is up to each student to create their own avatar once signing in.
I have yet to look at this from a students view but I'm about to do that in a few.
I created another post. This post is geared towards teaching not only how to use twiducate.com but also how to use "motivation topics" to understand the students better. This will make instruction better!

What type of music does your most difficult student listen to?
ReplyDeleteThis would be a good topic to generate coverstion among teachers and students that wouldn't normally talk, just because.
