With teaching teachers, I'll be able to show how to add students. Then I'll show them what the student's page looks like. The functionality of both the teacher and student pages and how they interact.
I then logged on as a student, Roslyn, and responded to the post....You can see that she has not created an avatar nor completed a bio. This is where I will have the teachers, I'm training, log in after I've given them their password. During a training workshop, I'd propose a question like this to gain an initial response. Since we all have good students but somehow the real bad ones are the ones we seem to remember the most. Then usually we find out later as to why they were the way they were. Many times it comes from not being understood.
Using twiducate can allow a private session on chat instead of being seen walking up to tell the teacher something. How about sending a chat message to ask to use the restroom, go to the nurse, or just ask a question(post). Parents will be notified of their child's password so they have access to check on student and teacher. I'm going to be having fun creating topics to post for trainees!

Here is last weeks important date. Notice students had a fun friday event! See the importance of this tab! This can also be a weekly reminder or Student Praise area! Here's the most recent important date. This is where it is located on the Home page. This site is very teacher friendly. I mean since many are on Facebook this is an easy transition. Now that many schools and businesses are restricting usage of Twitter and the prior, twiducate is the perfect thing for school systems everywhere. This usage brings all students on the same level. I have seen many Special Education students more computer savvy than many Regular Ed. students.
The public page is where all teachers on twiducate can post from all over the network, all over the world. There are so many ways to connect classrooms from school systems throughout the country. Twiducate is going to be a great tool to help me with my Program presentation.

I really wanted to find out about what the student sees and has access to...so I did. Twiducate is real easy to maneuver through and a great tool for catching the ideas of teachers students and parents.
ReplyDeleteI want to create some part of my program that brings parents, kids and teachers to have assignments through this. More parent/student assignments and day to day behavior reports would be excellent uses for this!
